We upgraded Oracle 9.2 EMR and PM 2004 to CPS 10 build 218, sp2 Dec 2011.
Clients were initially all installed on windows xp with the exception of a Term Server (2008 r2 x 64). There continue to be multiple "CPS must close errors" on clients throughout our organization. The fewest seemed to occur on ther 2008 x64 term server. Recently we upgraded several desktops to windows 7 x64 to take advantage of more memory. The "new" average desktop machine has 12 GB of Ram. We use dragom medical practice edition as well. The frequency of "CPS must close - we apologize" errors has increased on the x64 bit machines. Some times you can only change 3 or 4 charts before another error forces an "Exit". There seems to be a correlation to dication with dragon but the error is so sporadic (mic on, mic off, while dictating, not while dictating) the a real correlation is difficult. I would appreciate any insights from other CPS 10 users out there.
Thanks,
Jack
We have the same issue, mostly when we try to create a prescription. I have reported it to GE, but by the time they respond, I have had to restart the server, which seems to solve the issue for a couple of days. I think there is a issue with the way CPS uses the MS SQL, their coding is not very stable....
