Previous to CPS 10.1.3 I had several users complaining that when printing handouts it would crash CPS many time per day.
After upgrading to 10.1.3 the randon handout printing crashes seem to be much fewer. However, I still have a couple users that see it on a daily basis. Not every patient, but at least 1 or 2 patients a day when printing handouts it boots them from CPS. Usually they just log back in and go about their business. One of the users will completely restart their PC as they believe it makes it last longer before the next crash.
Anyone else seeing issues when printing?
Thanks,

We'd seen this issue, and about half of the databases that I support are now upgraded to SP3. One of the challenges that we had is that most handout printing in our workflows is from custom content (not supported by GE).
Did you ever report this issue to GE Support?
Starting in May of 2012 (well before upgrading to SP3) I had worked with Matthew Gabig from GE support (1-249546861). Via a remote session he did MEL traces and looked at things and did not find anything out of the ordinary. For a week or so he had me keep a detailed log of the crashes to note the exact times and circumstances and I then shared them with him. Again, no patterns or issues figured out. Next he had me change some workstation environment variables and permissions. These changes did not have any effect on the problem.
In August the final "solution" given by GE support was:
"As a workaround, ensure users wait until print outs are completely finished printing before resuming any workflow. This is similar to EMR SPR 48063"
Unfortunately this made absolutely no sense as CPS would crash as soon as they hit the Print button so "waiting until printouts completely finished printing" was not an option.
Then in early September we were given this news:
"The issue is attached to SPR 51363. CPS10.1.3 is anticipated to be released in the next several days and includes more than 100 fixes."
So SP3 was supposed to be the final fix. It did have a positive impact as the problem went from happening many times a day to just a few times a day. However for the unlucky few that it happens to each day they are more than happy to share with me how annoying it is.
So unfortunately it took from May until December for GE support to help and the help came in the form of SP3. Since SP3 has not completely fixed the problem I was hoping to find help here in this forum.
P.s. the actual error message that they get is:
"Error occurred in class, method CMLChartDoc::OnActionPEH."
