Hi there, we have a number of users, not everyone but a bunch that are freezing up througout the day. Does anyone have any good solutions to fixing this in CPS 11.
Thanks!
George
How are the freezing clients running: through Citrix, using vmWare Virtual Desktops, as a thick client? Other?

They are using thick clients, installed locally on the machine, Windows 7 with full rights to the Centricity folder.
Any thoughts, havent had much luck here.

Have you checked with your vendor?
a lot of the issues is the IE setup, and what version of IE are you using? We've were one of the companies that updated when it was first released and it was a big issue to get all these adjustments fixed. It is not perfect, not saving the adjustments are going to fix all freezes, but it helps.
Arnold,
Thanks for the feedback, we have seen the same, what changes did you make to IE. We are on IE 9 only, allowing the app and DB server in the trusted sites but thats it with tweaks there.
Thanks!
1. Make sure you have it set as a Trusted site.
2. Allow ActiveX Filtering - Enable
3. Allow Scriplets - Enable
4. Download Signed ActiveX Controls - Enable
5. Download UnSigned ActiveX Controls - Enable
6. Initialize and script ActiveX controls - Enable
7. Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins - Enable
8. Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting - Enable
9. User Authentication / Logon /Automatic logon with current user name and password
Hopefully this helps you out a bit.
Acantu,
Do you know what freezing errors you were receiving?
Which errors did the IE configuration helped with?
We're having a lot of freezing issues for one of our customer.
Alot of them have to do with exception errors. This would help a lot if this takes away the errors we are receiving for our customers.
Thanks,
Sam
