When searching for a new problem/icd9 code, how do you add more problems that are specific to what the physican uses.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

We found that with version 11 you need to use the smart list. If you are only using the custom list, it will limit you to what was already on the list. You could, in the admin section, manually add the problems specific to the provider on their custom list, but again that take more time then just using the Smart List.
We just upgraded to CPS 11 from CPS 9.5 and encountered this same issue with custom lists having limited problem codes - namely that our providers use an encounter template called "MD/ND" that defaults to "MD/ND" custom problem list. We did discover that the complete list is in "*Smart List". Does anyone know if you can set the default to go to the "*Smart list" for problem search instead of a custom list? Our providers would be grateful as they now have the extra step of selecting and scrolling through the "using" dropdown to get to "*Smart List" to then get complete ICD9/10 codes in a search.

You can set the preference to Smart list under the User Preference for Custom Lists. This can be done by the user or the system admin if needed.
Sirna,
Thank you much. That is what I needed.
