We just upgraded from CPS 10.1 to 11.1.3.248 this weekend and we have 4 laptops where CPS crashes everytime the chart module is launched. We have a ticket open with GE but no solution so far. So far we have determined that the problem is caused by the Windows 7 touch screen drivers on these 4 laptops. The rest of the PCs in our clinic do not have touchscreens and are fine. If I disable the touchscreen drivers, the problem goes away. This is not an acceptable solution, however, because those users WANT touchscreens for a reason. I can't imagine we are the only clinics trying to use touchscreens. Has anyone else heard of this? Does anyone have CPS 11 running on Windows 7 with Touchscreen?
Models affected: Lenovo X201 and Dell Latitude e7440.
Please Reply if you are using tablets or touchscreens with CPS 11.
We recently upgraded to version 12 and have been trying to utilize touchscreen pads and Windows 8 since we had version 11. The problem we've discovered is that it's incompatible in the Citrix environment we have. We've been trying to find a way for them to work together for years now. We've tested several pads, including ipad.
After working with GE we have verified that CPS 11 does not work with computers that have touchscreens. We have 2 Lenovo x201 that are laptop/tablet convertibles and I was able to turn off the touch driver to make them stop crashing. I also have 2 brand new Latitude e7440's with touchscreens that are dead in the water because I can't find a way to turn off touchscreen. GE has basically told us, "Sorry, it just isn't going to work and there is no solution". This is very frustrating since we have been using touchscreens since we started Centricity, 8 years ago. Originally we had 24 Toshiba M400 convertibles. ALL of them touch screen. We used them with CPS 2006, 9.0, 9.5, and 10.1 with no problem. It was only recently that I replaced most of our touchscreens with non-touch. The four that are still touch are because those four providers want touchscreen. And let me tell you, they aren't very happy right now. Neither am I.
