We upgraded from CPS 10 to 12 this weekend. The upgrade went well and I've only found a few issues.
One of them is when a user connecting via the Remote Desktop Published app hovers over an appointment the pop up that contains information about that appointment opens and closes very quickly instead of staying open. The fat clients have no issue with this and if you rdp into one of our terminal servers and launch CPS it works fine.
We had no issues with the published app on cps 10 and have made no changes to the terminal servers other than installing cps 12, IE 10 and .net 4.5.1.
GE says since it works on the fat client they can't help. All they told me was that other clients have had this issue and were able to resolve this.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the issue could be?
Justin
We have the same issue and have not resolved it, however we noticed it is only a problem on the chart schedule and not the regular schedule, so any users that used the information we advised to use the schedule instead.
Just upgraded to cps 12 and the same issue with the thin client and no solution. so frustrating with all these errors. Don't they test their product first?

I know exactly how you feel. This is what keeps me busy, except more from a bigger company. Anyhow, my understand is you should be using IE 9. See if that makes a difference.

CPS 12 supports 9 and 10, CPS11 only went up to 9, but ya try 9 and see if it changes...
Yes, i have had issue though while using 10, and seems to work a bit better on 9. To me, at this point, i don't understand why they do this, when in reality this is not a true web-based application. They should have stuck with windows winframe based application, wouldn't have to depend on JBOSS or IE.
I just uninstalled IE10 from one of our term servers and see no change. Before I installed IE9 I even tested it with IE8 with no change. For us it's doing this both in Scheduling and the Chart Desktop. It's occurring for all users across 4 term servers.
From my research I've learned that a full RDP session and a RDS published app use a different shell which may explain why it works in a full RDP session but not with a published app. What gets me is it worked fine with CPS10 as a published app and the only things changed were changed with the direction of GE. I pointed this out to GE but still got the same response "not our problem".
Arnold I know you have a lot of programming experience what language do you think that the schedule pop up is written in? If I knew that I feel like I could at least give google a little more info to search with.

Would be either VB or C# but not sure, but I do know that it is a WPF application. So you are having issues with Remote APP? I have 12 rooms here that are running it on remote app and do not have those issues. Hmmm.... make sure all your drivers on your server are up to date also.
Do you mind telling us your server, ie version and other RDS settings that might play a role? thanks
Windows Server 2008 R2 - 64 bit
IE 9.0.16
RemoteApp Shared, IE ... default URL Centricity application URL.
If you need anymore settings let me know.
Do you mind sharing some of your RDS settings that would improve performance? Thanks.

Performance is another story... Performance is not very good unless you have no chart notes or anything like that and your are starting fresh... funny. huh... smh
What I'm experiencing with performance with CPS12 is kind of a mixed bag. The chart module itself opens much faster than cps10 did but operating in the chart appears to be slower. One thing I have found is that the CPS12 Fat client performs surprisingly well over a wifi connection. CPS10 wouldn't work at all for us over wifi. I've actually installed the fat client for a couple of wifi users because they were having such dreadful performance with the term servers.
