yup. same here. fast emr load time but slower working in the charts. better performance in fatclient over term server.

Arnold, what version of Java do you have loaded on your term servers?
Justin
Java Runtime 5.0 update 7. This is the one that CPS has on their update page within CPS.
I'll add my voice to the choir and say we are also having this problem on three different CPS 12 databases and across six different Win 2012/IE10 terminal servers and one Win 2008R2/IE9 terminal server. We have a case open, but not holding our breaths for a fix. Saying to run the fat client or run it in desktop mode rather than as a published app is not a fix. We used to run everything fat when we were PM only, but the EMR requires too much network bandwidth for that to be possible with remote sites. The fact that is seems to keep the pop up displayed if done from within the Scheduling module, but not in the Chart module tells me it probably IS their problem and if they bothered to look into it, they could probably figure out that there is some difference between the way they are implementing that feature in those two spots - one works, one does not. They are probably doing something non-standard to produce that pop up and it only works if the stars align properly.
We are noticing this at our site as well after the upgrade to CPS12. We are running CPS via a Citrix Xenapp published app.
I've seen the behavior of the appt info popup opening then immediately closing on both the chart desktop and the scheduling module. I've also found that if the window isn't "active" (i.e. if i click the taskbar to take focus away from the CPS window) and i hover over an appointment, the popup works fine.
I will be submitting a ticket to GE as well.

Agreed, that GE's programmers don't know what they are doing! Even the UI is a bit cheesy with icons that look weird. Anyhow, we all spend a lot of money on this, you would assume they would put someone that they knows what they are doing to change the direction of this program so the clients that are using it can actually use it!
I am also working on an overlay application, i am hoping to get it done sooner than later. You can keep my information or visit my website to find out more about me and my company.
I downgraded to ie 9 and still doesn't work. Anyone got this working with Remoteapp can shed some light?

I haven't found a solution yet, but I've had to switch focus to other CPS 12 issues so I haven't spent much time on it this week.

what are some of your CPS 12 issues? maybe we can help each other. so far the main issue is cps crashes due to application errors.
The appointment popup issues seem to be related to window focus problems. We are running via Citrix, but I think the problem may lie in the application itself. I know they reworked the skinning in CPS12.
I've been in contact with GE on this issue and will post anything helpful that comes along.

Some of the issues are hidden screens and pop ups which make the user think their client has became unresponsive. Physicians are getting errors when signing orders such as invalid row entry and too much data which then removes all their orders and they have to start over. The new problems search that was added in 11 is atrocious. They took the descriptions right from the code book and put them in for the clinicians to have search for without any alternative terminology for the problem. Clinicians use different terminology for the problems than the code books. I have physicians that have found it faster to google the problem and then search CPS for the icd code.

We have the same issue with the hidden screens. We get alot of application errors for no apparent reason.
I know this is an old post, but we just started having this issue reported and have been on CPS 12 since Feb 2014. We found a fix- well actually my awesome Director of IT Mike found it! Our RDP versions were different and the older version had the issue. Here is the link to the latest download, which solved the issue for us.
