This ocurrs when more than one user is attempting to access an account. You will receive this pop up message if another user is currently working in the patient's account before you. It will allow you to still enter in the account to view, however you will not be able to edit or make any changes in a "read only" mode.
Hopefully this helps.
Thank you for your answer. But, in the above image you will see that it reads "This patient record has been locked by ." and it doesn't fill in the person's name. Something similar that is happening to us is this:
One of our users was trying to update a providers schedule template but was then "kicked out" of CPS12. She logged back in and this was the message she got. I deleted her session via the db server but she still receives this error. Any help would be appreciated.
I know in Administration, if someone has someone's record open and someone else tries to open it, we get a flag that the record is being updated by "User Name" do you want to view as read only.
In Registration, if some one has a patient's registration open, another use will get the prompt that "User Name" is updating record do you want to go in as Read only? We have also had someone have the patient's registration open and it cause issues when the provider tried to document in the chart.
The screen print you attached where the user was kicked out of the system sounds like the flag that is set when you have a record open didn't get reset when you deleted her session. If you haven't reported it to GE Support and the record is still locked, I would report it. They will probably need to get on and reset it.
