Hi All, we just upgraded to CPS 12.09 patch 1 from 12.07 over the weekend and wanted to start a post for all the issues/solutions.
Right off the bat after the upgrade problem search crashes every time we search for a dx code. The solution was to reinstall jboss.
Good to know.
Did you by anychance also apply the 'special' knowledgebase update (in addition to June's regular KB update)?
I'm not aware of any "special" KB.
I think it was just made available on Friday. This is what the CEMR release notes state it contains (below): (CPS release notes I imagine are similar). They are on the GE service portal page.
(We are about to install in our Test environment, and I was curious if you had done this or not).
• This package contains updates for ICD and CPT codes for CEMR 9.8 to support enhanced problem search functionality
• Enlarged the problem code set by adding approximately 70,000 new problems
• Knowledgebase updates for CEMR 9.8 now have keywords for problem Quick Search and Full Search functionality
• One-to-one mapping of ICD-9 to ICD-10 code. CEMR 9.8.10 (Service Pack 10) will be required for additional problem content:
o Non-billable problem codes will be identified during problem search and will not be selectable for use
o Consistent display of both ICD-9 and ICD10 codes within Problem search and custom problem list by specialty tables
We've run into this before after a service pack (6 and 9 both) and you will probably have to uninstall/reinstall JBOSS (after uninstall, blow away c:\program files\centricity practice solution\jboss for good measure) and reinstall your website. For whatever reason, the CPS website/JBOSS is a house of cards and I haven't been able to find a better solution and the last time I asked GE, they suggested the same thing.
Also, where is SP9 Patch 1 available?? I don't see it in server setup or on the engage.gehealthcare.com website?
I still don't see the "special" kb. I see a special update release notes under Diagnosis and procedures but i don't see any downloads. Any we did apply the june 2015 kb and the june 2015 icd and cpt codes.
Another issue is that a bunch of doctors are complaining about locked documents after the upgrade.
Yes, sorry for confusion, I meant the CPT/ICD update that goes on top of June's KB update.
"Special ICD / CPT Codes Download Package to be added on top of the June 2015 Full Knowledgebase ".
Thanks!
We did apply the special update but we did it before applying the june kb. I wonder what would happen?
I think you have to request patch 1. Also my understanding of the special update is to prepare our systems for SP10.
Yes GE sent us the patch because we needed a fix in the patch that was not in sp9.
Was told by GE that the upgrade affects the hosted claims causing it to freeze at times.
lic08, the SP9 or SP9 Patch 1 caused the freeze? or is Patch 1 fix the freeze?
not sure which but i assumed it was more sp9 with or without the patch.
update:
GE said they have patch it on their end. So we will see.
