Greetings greetings fellow CHUG-ers! I have a question about the new CPS 12.2 upgrade, and CITRIX environments. We are currently running Citrix XenApp 6.5, and we are being told by GE that CPS 12.2 will not run on Xenapp 6.5.
We thought that a simple Xenapp update would be fine, and then we would upgrade CPS to 12.2, but then we were told that CPS 12.0.11 (our current version) would not run on the newer Citrix XenApp! if this is true, then we would have to build a seperate Citrix farm, upgrade to 12.2, and then have our old Citrix environment just taking up space. this solution is cumbersome and VERY expensive.
Has anybody here upgraded to 12.2 using the older version of Citrix XenApp 6.5? or is anyone still on an older version of Centricity with the newer Xenapp 7.5? We would like to avoid spending a ton of money on what should be a simple upgrade.
Thanks so much for the help!
Daniel
I checked with our network team and we are currently running XenApp 7.9 with Centricity 12.0.11. We are only using it in one or two locations but it appears to be functional with no complaints. Hopefully this helps you out!
This was exactly what I was looking for! the fact that you are able to run CPS 12.0.11 on the latest XenApp version means that we can upgrade our XenApp before we go to the Latest version of Centricity. Thank you for getting back to me on that so quickly. I will pass this good news on to my IT team.
Thanks a million! ^_^

Your only issue will likely be the version of internet explorer that will come with the newer operating systems that Xenapp 7.x runs on. If it is IE11 then you will have a few features that may not work in Centricity. I believe that the dosage calculator is one of the issues.
I thought IE11 was finally supported in 12.2. Are there still issues with IE11 and 12.2?

My experience is with CEMR and not CPS but I was referring to running 12.0 on new Citrix servers with IE11. I think you should be able to get the software to work with the exception of the little bugs that do not support IE11 in the older software.
My understanding is that the new versions of CPS/EMR work with IE11.
Can you tell me if version Citrix 7.12 is working and running stable with the latest version of CPS as well?
