Good morning,
We upgraded to CPS 12.3 in January and since that time we have had a few instances of the guarantor randomly changing to a completely different person?

Two common possibilities come to mind.
The MIK will overwrite demographics if it receives an HL7 external ID mapped to an internal ID. Say a guarantor external ID is mapped to an internal ID for John Smith, and that same external ID is later received with a name of George Johnson, the original guarantor John Smith just magically became George Johnson. I'm not sure on the DTS/Linklogic side offhand.
The second likely possibility is a staff member is erroneously changing the demographics of a guarantor by selecting "Edit Guarantor", rather than changing the guarantor associated with a patient by selecting "Select Guarantor." It's an easy mistake to make.

We are still on CPS 12.0 and this happens to us as well. I have a case with GE(started months ago), but they have yet to figure it out. 🙁
