We are scheduled to upgrade next month to CPS 12.3 with the patch 2. Has anyone upgraded? Any issues that you have experienced that we should hold off on upgrading?

Printhandout from any form will not work. prior to the patch, it would completely freeze your cps.
now it only give you a minor crash but you are still unable to use the PRINTHANDOUT statement on any form.

Is patch 2 something newer than they have posted on the support portal? If you use any amount of PRINTHANDOUT() functions in your forms I would hold-off. The two versions I see out there are 12.3.0.2242 (CPS locks up when printing handout, forces user to kill process) and 12.3.0.2243 (CPS just crashes when printing handout). This bug applies to the MEL function for printing handouts, not as far as I know affecting the handouts window.

Can you print directly from the Handouts on your customs lists? Are your errors coming from having a handout button on your template?

Frankly I find this very aggravating. If patch 2 was supposed to fix the issue, then why didn't GE make sure that it was fixed. We are still on 12.0.13 and are having issues that we are told is fixed in 12.3 but we can't go to 12.3 because of issues like this. We do have forms that have buttons that print handouts and the reason is to save time! Come on GE, get your act together and get your product fixed!

We have version 12.3.0.2242 in our test system. Like David said it will freeze on printing either from a button, watcher or page close handler. I just tried to print from handouts and it is working ok.

SP1 is due out maybe in the beginning of May. SP2 is probably coming out August-September. The Limited Availability team just got the latest SP1 version to test, but there are still a few open SPR's that need to be addressed. Or they'll just push it with the new bugs...ahem...."features".

Do you all really think Patch 2 will be available by September?! We keep delaying plans to upgrade from 12.0.13, but if Patch 2 doesn't come out sooner then we're looking at waiting until 2019 because it's good to see the feedback after GA. Thoughts?

We had been delaying as well, but the latest build seems to have solved our handout printing issues (See the link jdibiasio printed below), so I think we are going to go ahead and do the update in June. Are there other issues that you are holding off for?

The other issues we have been hearing/reading about are related to the prescriptions/refill form. From the State of the Union last week, seems like they are saying Patch 2 addresses this, but I'd like to hear that from users. Is the"latest build " you refer to Patch 2? Does that mean you're in the LA group?

Not 12.3.2, its just a later build - 12.3.0.2838. I haven't heard about the refill form issues specifically related to 12.3, do you have any more information on that? I tried combing through posts but must not be searching for the correct terms. We use that form a lot, that would be a big deal for us...
