We have a license for a single workstation to have Crystal Reports for CPS. When we license the server it shows this and asks for the pc name. The end users want to access this. What exactly does it enable the user to do? and how do they get to it?
From what I understand, the license allows that user to modify CPS crystal reports. If what you are really wanting is the ability to run the reports, you want to right click on the folder or individual report, select 'Assign Security' and then add either individual users or groups. We have had instances where even though a users group had access, we had to go in and add that user individually in order for them to get access.
If you want to give a user/group access to all the reports in a particular folder, you can select the folder/assign security/add the group/user and then click on the button to 'Fill Down' and it will give them access to all the reports in that folder.
Actually its the editing that they are interested in. How does that work inside CPS.
Specifically, I am looking to modify the Orders forms that print from the Chart Module for Test and Referrals. I can't open them because the file type is rpt. I think I need the full Crystal Version if working in the Chart Module........not just the design version.
From the documentation on Centricity Support Portal, the CPS Crystal Design version only edits financial reports within the Reports Module.
I called GE and Crystal Support to no avail.
Is there anyone out there that might be willing to open 2 rpt files and just remove the SSN field for me?
Any feedback is much appreciated.
