Are you speaking of patient alert notes or any pop up notes? The two charts we are having problems with have patient alert notes and financial/collection notes that are on the pop up....
Not sure what to try here..
Before Care Alerts/Pop-Ups, we used to add things in the patient registration comments, and then have related code plugged into our patient banners. If a comment was in the pt's registration, a user would get a pop-up with the content of that comment upon entering the chart. It used to work ok, but now on CPS, depending on how the user enters a chart (ex: accessing a chart update from his/her Desktop), the chart update opens in the foreground, and the user never even sees the registration note pop-up in the background. Yet as long as that pop-up is open in the background, the user can't work in the update. Sorry this is so long, but I don't know to explain it well enough in fewer words.
GE engineering was onsite all last week. The message "Another user is editing this text. Try again in a few minutes." can be created in multiple ways. When this happens a "Log lock" is created, and the client is not releasing the files. GE tried 2 "patches" earlier this month and it did not fix the issue.
GE learned this week "Another user is editing this text. Try again in a few minutes." was somewhat of a bogus message. What GE discovered this week is our forms found a flaw in their code.
When a form would use a certain document variable that was over 4000 characters Centricity could not handle it. It would display the error, and create all sorts of issues with the chart.
The "patch" is one file that needs copied to the Centricity client directory. GE will be making this patch in one of the next service packs.
