Is there anyone else who has CPS10 with SP3 that is having issues?
We jumped from SP1 to SP3 a week ago, we havent seen much difference, what kind of issues are you having?
Error crashes in the chart side only to a few of the users, not all. Still the "WinRefresh" error, meds and problems not always populating changes as they should. As you stated, we haven't seen much improvement form SP1 with the patch we had. I forgot to mention that we have also been noticing that one user may be logged in, but shows someone else documented in the chart.
Upgrade to SP3, still we do not see a big difference... are there any other suggestions out there?
We upgraded from 10.0.2.218 to 10.1.3 (SP3) about 4 weeks ago. Since that time we have had problems with meds not populating. We have found that exiting CPS and signing back on gets the meds to populate and show up in the patient handout but not always. We have also been told this is a known issue. Originally it only happned to some users but it seems to be spreading and getting worse, affecting more users and occurring more frequently. This is only on the Chart side of the program. We do not seem to have any PM side issues.
Our issue seems to mimic the ones "watkinsd" seems to be happening.
Has anybody found any solution yet?
We upgraded from 10.1.2 to 10.1.3 a couple of weeks ago. Our providers are all reporting intermittent issues with the Patient med lists disappearing. We've logged a ticket with our VAR and they've gone to GE. But they have unable to provide a resolution (I'm not sure they properly understand it either). It is difficult to troubleshoot because the user doesnt get an error and it doesn't happen consistently.
Here is the info that we have collected about what happens when the problem occurs:
1) The list of meds disappear from the Prescription form and any other form that displays medications. Sometimes the Prescription form displays "none" instead of being blank.
2) When you click to update/change medications (from a button on a form like CPOE) the Update Medications dialog box does NOT show any medications (this is not a form but rather a standard Centricity dialog box).
3) Medication information does NOT print in the chart note text, whether it's controlled by a form or text component.
4)The only place Medication information displays at all is on the Medications component of the Chart (e.g. on the Chart Summary screen)
In order for the meds to appear, users have to log out of Centricity and back in. This is a serious problem. Has anyone gotten a resolution from GE on this? Or been told there is an SPR for this?
thx -matt
We are working with GE on issues with Medications not populating since our Service pack 3 upgrade. They have told us that no other customer has reported the same issue.
Here are the symptoms we are experiencing:
- Meds not appearing on the Prescriptions form. (some or all)
- Text for Prescriptions form not appearing in the Chart note. (some or all)
- Medications disappear altogether and can't be seen on forms or even the update Meds dialog box. But yet they can still be seen on the Chart summary screen. Usually have to close the chart and open it back up to resolve.
If anyone else is experiencing this, can you please contact me to discuss? I want to let GE know we aren't the only ones having these issues (if that is true).

They are lying... I had to find out how to fix it myself. but it is a temp fix, cause it comes back and i have to redo it again. Run this script. Make sure it is ran on the CPS database.
DELETE FROM UI_LAYOUT
WHERE PVID IS NOT NULL
We upgraded from 9.0 to 10.1 about 2 weeks ago. I was just notified 2 days ago that our nurses are having this same problem. So you're not the only one. I haven't opened a case yet since I just found out.
Thanks acantu, I appreciate you responding. We just shared this with our VAR.
If you don't mind me asking, are you on 10.1.3?
If so, did you begin experiencing the problem after upgrading?
I'll post back what we hear.

Yes, I am on SP3. It didn''t happen right after, it started happening a few months after. Med's would disappear, then providers would get locked out when trying to view their documents. it is a frustrating situation, especially towards the end of the year where you are trying to make sure everything is completed for MU.
This scripts has CPS re-write the layouts when the charts are open and clears up the missing meds and doesn't lock up anymore. I actually have this running as a job every hour. Haven't had the issue since. But hate having to fix GE's problems. I make a lot of custom apps to bypass GE's way and get it to work the right way.

acantu,
When you have the time could you contact me by e-mail at [email protected] please. I have some questions about implementing this "fix".
Thanks for your attention.
just sent you a reply. you can email me also at [email protected]
Has GE responded to any of you regarding your concerns with "Medications disappearing" issue? We have not applied SP3 due to this concern and frankly lately when we have issues with our current version GE support state the solution is to get on the latest version.
That will always be GE's solution. I would be fine with that, except that most of the time, things still aren't fixed even after upgrading.
