Is anyone out there using something other than CQR for MU, CQM, and PQRS numbers? I am finding way too many discrepancies within CQR without any help or insight from GE support. Your advice and comments are appreciated.
Thank you.
Katie,
I have been slowly getting the hang of CQR. In fact, I built an Excel spreadsheet that reads the Downloaded File - Group Measure Excel. This spreadsheet (that I built) is what we use to track our 45 doctors and their functional and clinical (the ones we chose) measures.
That said, I have also built a few Crystal Reports to analyze some of the Measures. Some Measures like Func-2 Core-7 are on the easier side, as they simply start with all patients seen (as the denominator), and then check if the Portal PIN was set. GE added a table that records any MU Measure data, and a related file to explain all of the MUACTIVITYLOGTYPEID values. However, many other Measures are much more complex, may be office visit dependent, and can have exclusions to program for.
As far as questions and help, I am regularly on GE's CQR community, and have posted some questions (although one I am still awaiting an answer). The communities and the webinars have been very helpful. However, at times it seems GE to be overwhelmed by the enormity of the task - the number of practices with multiple complex problems, all trying to figure it out by the end of the year.
In conclusion, I too would be interested in hearing how others have approached the task.

I can tell you for my 40+ providers we are doing a manual abstraction for PQRS and using a third party registry. As for MU we are trying to make CQR work, but come across issues like , oh you need to upgrade your portal , or that will be fixed in service pak #####. I am not blaming GE for all my issues but if you are not IT skilled this whole CQR can be overwhelming.
