Does anyone have the ability to capture an image from a camera directly into CPS. If so, what interface/software do you use?
Are you referring to a photo of a patient capture or some other type of image
We are setting up to use a camera to get patient pictures. The work flow we are using is:
1. Take the picture and attach the camera to the computer with the USB cable.
2. After opening the Registration module and bringing up the patient, click on the "get photo" button.
3. Select the camera as your source device and then select the photo you wish to import.
4. Crop the photo as needed to get the file small enough to be imported. If it is too large the size will be displayed in red. Once it is small enough it will import to Centricity and display on the screen. At this point you are done and can disconnect the camera from the computer and delete the photo from the camera.
This method is working well for us on Win 7 and should work on Win 8.
If you have additional questions you can contact me at [email protected]. We are using a Fuji camera.
We use a webcam for photo capture. I have attached our How To document on the process. The document was written up for 9.5 however the process has not changed now that we are using CPS12.
If the attachment didn't take shoot me an email at [email protected] and I will email it to you. Hope this helpsHT14_ Photo Capture 4-4-12
