Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew if there would be a new version of the EMR/PM that will be able to assign Category II CPT codes. These are codes that will define a value such as BMI, etc. These codes will be required for Medicare patients in 2016 and some ACO's are already utilizing for quality measurement. We are currently on CPS 11 and EMR 9.8.3. At this time, there is no easy way to assign these CPT codes. I imagine that it would be possible for the EMR to automatically assign these based on OBS terms.
Thanks in advance for any info!
Check out the tail-end of the CQR Process Day 1 webinar workshop presentation from two weeks ago. GE is going in a similar direction for CQR Quality reporting, albeit mostly towards SNOMEDs or normal CPTs.
If you added your CPT II codes into the Data Mapper Value Sets, you might get both with one entry.
They reference a new "Conditional Action Metrics (CAM)" MEL widget coming with CCC 9.0.
Thanks, Jim. I'll take a look at that webinar. We are in the process of getting the CQR up and running, so the webinar could prove helpful 🙂
