We use Centricity Group Management as our PM system and it sends a Demographic (ADT) feed to fill in the information in Centricity EMR. We noticed that the field "Insured Party" in CEMR only gets filled in when the patient is set to "SELF" in GM. If it is anything other than self, the field in EMR Registration is left blank. Does anyone else have a similar setup to this? Do you have the same issue?
I assume you're using DTS (Linklogic)?
I'm not sure on CEMR, but you may need to cross-ref what you're receiving in IN1.17 to a defined value in CEMR. Do the values received in IN1.17 match what you have defined in Admin > Registration > Patient Relationship (CEMR may be a different path to this)? If not, then you'll need a cross reference between the received value and what CEMR expects to receive.

There does not appear to be a place in CEMR registration settings to define the Patient relationship. According to the "Managing interfaces in Centricity EMR" document, there are 4 predefined values that it accepts S/M/P/O (Self Married Parent Other) but then the document goes on to say:
When IN1-17 has the value 'S', the insured party in Centricity EMR is set to the
patient. All other values are ignored.
I just performed a demogrpahic update on a patient which had "M" as the IN1-17 and it came across with field in registration left blank.
Managing interfaces in CPS 12.2 is similar.
Let me make sure I understand. When you used "M" in IN1.17, was insured person patient, guarantor, or other? Make sure you create a new patient as a test. I suspect you'll get insured person as other, but still import the insured person information.

When I have "M" in IN1-17, and the name of the insured person (the spouse) in IN1-16, "Insured Party" is completely blank. When IN1-17 is "S" (self) the "Insured Party" shows as their own name with a relationship as Self.
I'm sorry I don't have absolute answers for you. The MIK and DTS are finicky applications that are poorly documented. I've spent a lot of time playing and testing interfaces because of that.
Generally, with the MIK, I make one change at a time until I get the segment I want to start importing, then I start re-adding what I removed one at a time until I break it again. DTS/Linklogic may show a warning in the log indicating why it isn't importing the IN1 segment.
I'd check the DTS log first. If that isn't helpful, I'll suggest the next thing I would try. If IN1.17 is null, does the insured's name populate then?

I appreciate your responses. There is nothing in the logs, it was the first thing I checked. I am starting to think it doesn't have the functionality because of the line I posted from the interface document which said :
When IN1-17 has the value 'S', the insured party in Centricity EMR is set to the
patient. All other values are ignored.
I don't know if that is telling me that all other values of IN1-17 are ignored (such as M/P/O) or that it ignores the name in IN1-16 when IN1-17 = 'S'. My current theory and assumption is the former.
It probably doesn't help much with CEMR, but who knows. I was able to import a third-party insured to CPS with this (anonymized) IN1 segment:
