According to a release this past Friday, athena is changing the names of the following three Centricity products effective immediately.
CPS = athenaPractice
CEMR = athenaFlow
Centricity EDI = athenaEDI
Do you think CHUG should be re-branded as A-HUG? We could all use one these days...

What I don't understand is the athenaFlow name. Why not athenaChart or something that describes what it does?

My guess would be that they chose athenaFlow so there's no confusion with athenaClinical (their EMR product). Also, they will probably try to kill CEMR like GE tried and focus on CPS (now athenaPractice).
Whole thing is surprising to me, because I figured they'd try to sell off the Centricity line eventually when they could turn a profit.
