I have noticed that after applying the last 2 quarterly full updates there has been a significant performance increase each time. The performance is seen in opening charts as well as operating inside updates, especially on the refills form. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this. It is not due to server reboots as our term servers and jboss server reboot every night and our sql server reboots every weekend. I spoke to GE about it and the support engineer said he had never had anyone tell him that before. My theory is that the update runs some cleanup scripts that I am not aware of. He suggested that it may be running the dump transaction log and set user defaults. I have not ran these as I'm not sure of the full affects these have on the db.
Does anyone know what scripts the updates run that may enhance performance or know of any scripts that should be run on a routine basis to keep performance at an acceptable level?
We are running CPS 10 with SP3.
Thank You,
Justin
