Patch 7 is not yet released, release date is December 5th.
GE is asking us to upgrade to patch 7 before 12/31/14 if we are doing 2014 PQRS reporting with them. Currently we are on CPS 12 with patch 4 and not seeing that many issues with the system.
I am concern about upgrading in short period and breaking something which is stable during holidays.
I am posting this to get idea on what others are doing? Do we have to upgrade? Any ideas?
Thanks!
Well this is news. We FINALLY went to 12.0.6 after much planning and debate (130 thick clients with no .MSI). When did you hear this?

It was mentioned on last State of the Union Address as well as on step by step guide for PQRS on GE site.
We are on C-EMR and GE told us we had to go to SP7 in order to do PQRS. Additionally, there was a requirement to have a CPT code or snomed code in the service order for each visit to indicate that the visit was an office visit. Most of our providers do not enter charge orders in the EMR, so we would have had to run a snomed kit and then go in and append hundreds of thousands of office visits so that CQR could identify an office visit. Also CQR has to be installed in order to do PQRS. Finally the last update we received from GE is that SP7 will not be available until the second or third week of December. There was no way for us to manage all of this by December 31st, so we found another vendor to do our PQRS reporting for us. The name is MD Interactive. If you want their contact information please let me know. Good luck!
We have held off upgrading to SP6, since we knew for PQRS we would nee SP7. The time line of SP7 looks like it will be a short window from release to the end of the year. We are concerned about having any time to test/demo SP7 before production install, but don't want to spend holiday weekends at the office. Just another example to show how GE was not prepared with CQR. I wonder how many clients don't realize they need to go SP7 for PQRS. Not to mention in order to pull all PQRS data you need to manually touch each office visit and resend a snomed code. When we asked GE about this we were told writing a script to go back and attach the snomed code to prior visits was not a priority and that this information was released in June. I didn't find it until late October.

Anyone heard anything about SP7 and when it will be available?
There's supposed to be a "State Of The Union Address" today. So, hopefully more details will be available.
-meaningful information section:
In case you were not on the the webinar today - GE shared that SP7 is now expected on or around Dec. 18th.
-frustration rant section:
This completely torpedoes our plans to upgrade to CPS 12.0.7 tomorrow (Dec. 12th) and then to CQR next Tuesday Dec. 16th. all in effort to meet GE's Dec. 31 deadline for PQRS purposes.
It is simply amazing to me that GE with full knowledge of the PQRS requirement of SP7 and yet the release date gets delayed from Dec. 5th to the 18th with no mention until today (none that I am aware of anyway).
I did not feel like GE truly acknowledged the chaos/stress that they are creating in our practices by missing their commitments. They did give a brief passing statement about trying to balance meeting release dates and delivering quality code, but when there is only a a few days/weeks window to begin with you can't miss something by almost 2 weeks.
Another point worth noting is GE admitted that as long as a practice has CPS 12.0.7 and CQR in place by mid January they should be fine with picking out PQRS measures and getting them selected and in place.
Sorry for the rant.
Service Pack 7 is on the GE web site for both CPS and CEMR.
