I have a provider who lost the capability to copy/paste from within Centricity to another area in Centricity. She used to be able to do this and then it suddenly quit working. She can copy/paste in other applications (Word, Internet, other programs) and doesn't have any problems. I have had her reboot her computer and it didn't fix the problem. We have tried the Ctrl/C and Ctrl/V along with using her mouse and neither of those options work either.
Any suggestions on why this would suddenly quit working? And how to retrieve the functionality?
We have this issue, specifically on signed documents that have a GE CVS.
We developed a work around by opening the "Page Viewer" (Next to the attach button), and doing the copy/pasta from that window.

(GE told us that this is a known issue, but I recommend opening your own service ticket to help put this on their radar.)
We are experiencing the same issue and gave similar work around. Didn't know this was a known GE issue. Do you know what the SPR is to fix that?
Thanks for the verification. And that is exactly what the provider discovered that she needs to do. Open the Full document viewer to copy & paste.
I have only had a few providers tell me about this problem. It works fine for me. So hard to reproduce for GE which is usually what they want. I will open a ticket tho.
Thanks for your response
James is correct. This "wonderful feature" manifested itself in our practice after we started attaching clinical visit summaries to the progress note document. The only sure fire workaround is to open up the document in the "full view" mode. You can copy and paste from that without issue.
We get an error from time to time that the clipboard is in use.
