The MU Reports, and other reports created by GE, seem to have Parameter Fields defined that are Prompt Groups. The reports appear to run fine (giving selections for live data) when run within GE Logician. However, whenever I try to run them manually outside of GE, the prompt groups appear to give prompt options that are based on the TEST data.
For instance, selecting for a Provider Home Location (typical of MU reporting), within GE I will see the correct locations. But, run with Crystal separately, I see the Eastside and Southside samples.
Reading the Crystal manual on this is simply confusing me even more.
So, has anyone tried running the GE Reports outside of GE? If, so, did they work or did you have to do something special?
Thanks.
Go into the menus for Database>Set DataSource Location
You'll need to 'Update' each table to whichever ODBC name is on your PC (ex: MLO_).
Don't forget to hit each of the sub-reports.
Lastly, you'll get a pop-up error showing a Formula when the report runs. Just comment that out // and the report should then work (this function pulls in the user-context from within EMR).
I guess another option is to just create a new ODBC connection on your PC using the default MU Crystal names, but point that at your production IP/Driver/Database.
