We have been experiencing "database disconnects" that are occurring randomly and almost weekly. they usually happen in the evening when there are very few users in the system and we find out in the morning when the clinics open up. The error message we are seeing in the logs before the database disconnects is :
"TNS-12518: TNS:listener could not hand off client connection"
What we have to do to usually correct this is restart the database and sometimes reinstall JBoss.
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what they have done to stop this from happening? We are even thinking of re-installing JBoss on a routine basis to see if this stops the disconnects from happening.
Thanks for any insight you might have. Peg
Are these local installs of GE or are you using Citrix or RDP?
We use both local installs and VMware - the database disconnects happen on both
