I was told that when GE installs CPS12 they automatically install the Demo Database too.
My question is how to access the Demo database? The GE support person initially said to modify the shortcut that launches CPS and simply replace the production database name with "demo".
I tried that and got an 404 error back saying the resource is not available.
Is it really something that simple or is there much more involved with running the demo database?
Any insights would be appreciated,
Mike
Mike,
You have to run ServerSetup and install the Demo Database and the Demo Website first before you can access the Demo CPS Client.

Mike, I called the GE reseller vendor we work with and had them do it. Call whomever is your point person and they will set it up. There is definitely a separate icon on my desktop to access it. The environment does not refresh at all so anything you input in stays there.
Thank you.
We followed the instructions in the Server Setup documentation.
We now have a separate Icon that launches the Demo database.
