Does anyone have experience with EKG device integration into Centricity? I would really appreciate some feedback as to what brands you used and how the users experience is.
Thank you,
Kim Waddell
we use IC Digital Ecg Device.
very straight forward and reliable, the integration into EMR is pretty simple.
you install the clinical kit in your EMR, on the application set the destination of you ecg file to your document storage server, or link storage server.
install the client application on the doctor workstation so they can open the attatchment and you are good to go..
Thank you for the information! Greatly appreciated.
Actually i don't know why this didnt posted the whole name. The device is Midmark IQ mark digital ecg
We also use Midmark ECGs. Licenses and interfaces are required from Midmark to integrate correctly with Centricity, but they are reasonable. Midmark also offers capabilities of operating via Thin Client and custom encounter forms to load into Centricity for further ease-of-use. The encounter forms allow the user to launch the program from within Centricity. We are in the process of expanding multiple locations of care with all of the above capabilities from Midmark.

To follow-up, we are still trying to get the Encounter Form Kit to work properly in Centricity. The EC Kit (purchased from Midmark) causes the EMR to crash every time.
i was going to write that i don't recommend opening anything from within an EMR form.
In my pass experiences, anything open from within EMR form unless you had coded it yourself will make it crash, beside the Midmark IQmark although very integrated to the emr database is a complete different beat on it own. I would not recommend their form.
