We have recently started deploying new Dell ultra book laptops. We are noticing that the display in the EMR is cut off in certain areas, such as the Orders menu. If we try to switch the display or resolution down to where it isn't cut off, then the font is so small in EMR, the providers can't see it.
Has anyone came across this issue and had a way to fix the cut off of the display but maintain a larger font for viewing?
I have tried changing Resolution, Display, Panel Fit. Nothing is helping.
Thanks
Most likely this is a personalization setting that is now coming shipped on those Dell laptops. If you right click on the desktop and select "Personalize" and then select the "Display" link in the lower left corner under the "See also" text, you will gain access to the display personalization settings. See attached figure below. I suspect the settings are set to 125%. This wreaks havoc on the user interface of most legacy applications (cutting off portions of screen, making buttons invisible, etc.). You should always set this to 100% to prevent this issue from happening. Once you have set that to 100%, you can play around with the screen resolution settings if people complain about how small things are in the user interface. Keep in mind that when change this setting back to 100%, you will need to log out of Windows and then log back in for the change to take effect.
