We are looking to revamp our document management/scanning solution. So far, we have looked at both the SureScripts/DocuTrak and InDXLogic solutions, and are very impressed by InDXLogic. This is a big change, so we want to make perform an extensive search.
What do you use at your organization? Are there particular solutions you have used and would recommend? Any advice for an organization about to undertake such a project?
Thanks!
I can tell you, I've used Kryptiq DocuTrak and InDxLogic and both are great products. DocuTrak does not auto-index but as a manual indexer, it's very hard to beat. InDxLogic is a nice product that does both but comes at a substantial cost. Our organization got to the point of not being able to afford this.
We decided to do a little searching around and found a product called DocuSight from MedCode365. This product has been a wonderful and does everything we need. We work directly with the developer and any sort of enhancement, change, features, etc. we want added, Arnold promptly fixes/change/adds and sends us an update. This product allows us to manually index, auto-index, change clinical dates, has reporting capabilities, and is completely customization. It is launched through a web browser currently and they are working on a desktop version as well.
Not only is the price MUCH!!! cheaper, the customer service is the best I've ever had. I highly recommend taking a look and I'd be happy to host a goToMeeting if anyone wants to see it in action. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
You can also email Arnold at MedCode365 at [email protected] or their site is http://www.medcode365.com. There may even be other products listed you could use.
Best of luck in your selection!
We use InDxLogic and love it.
We primarily use InDxLogic. We have been a Kryptiq DocuTrak user for many years and still use it for exception documents, those of very poor quality, handwritten, etc. Most everything now goes through InDxLogic. 63% of our documents are auto indexed so they go directly into the chart once scanned. Many of the other documents just need one or two pieces of information selected, such as patient name or date of service. This has saved us significant time, not to mention the consistency in documents types, summary lines and speed to index.
We have 25 offices and each had a part-time person (usually an MA) that would scan and index. After we implemented InDxLogic in 2017, I now have 4 centrally located staff members (1 full-time and 3 part-time) processing all of our documents. This provided a partial resource back to each office and we are able to process documents within several hours of receipt vs 3 to 4 days as before.
Let me know if you have other questions.
We use both Document Management and InDxLogic and while DM does the job its all manual. We are big fans of InDxLogic because of the automation and our implementation has greatly reduced staffing needs. The InDxLogic Team also works with you to make sure things are working we'll and they are always willing to help. They also specifically developed a feature based on our companies request. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Thank you everyone for the great input!
Does InDxLogic work with DocuTrak/Document Management or is it independent? If independent why would you have both? I am trying to decide between the two and am leaning towards InDxLogic. Thanks in advance for your time.

Do you still feel the same way about DocuSight? I am looking for an automated solution and am interested in your current opinion.
Its independent. We just haven't fully stopped using the old Kryptiq DM. If I was starting new I would just do InDxLogic.
I would like to know what scanners you are using with your softwares of choice. We currently have outdated Fujitsu scanners where users have to first have to scan with Paperport, save it to a shared drive THEN import with docutrak. Same with card scanning we use AmbirScan. We are looking to streamline the process where they use one software to scan in documents and then can import them a little bit easier.
