Hello,
I am pretty new to CPS and Crystal Reports, but have a lot of DBA and reporting experience. I have created a custom Crystal report that looks perfect in Crystal Reports XI standalone, but when imported into CPS it duplicates entries. When running the SQL directly against the database it does not create the duplicates, so it's not the SQL.
Basically, the report is an analysis of patients/visits by referring physician, with referring being a multiple selection parameter. Each selected referring has a sub group by patient, grouped based on patient id. Then another sub group is visits by that patient, finally with the details of procedures listed under that group, including billing details.
The report displays wonderfully in Crystal Reports, but when imported it creates a duplicate entry for each procedure. It also places all visits by that referring under each patient, thereby exponentially increasing the amount of visits. For example, if Jane Doe had 3 visits, and John Smith had 4, then Jane displays with all 7 visits and John also displays with all 7 visits. You can imagine what the report looks like with 200+ patients... Each visit has each procedure displayed twice as well. So the summary of each patient group is twice what the summary of the whole referring should be. The group headers are formulas if that makes a difference.
Being new to Crystal Reports, I'm not sure how to start troubleshooting this. It seems to me like it's an issue with the grouping but I've changing every group setting that seemed applicable with no change. Any help or pointers would be appreciated.
