I'm reaching to my fellow Texas athenahealth customers: Has anyone been faced with having to complete a waiver for delaying the EPCS implementation in the State of Texas? With the 1/1/2021 date quickly approaching, we need to see if this option exists and how we go about locating the waiver for completion. We're concerned implementing a solution this late in the game may not be a viable option considering what we've been faced with recently with support for our v20 upgrade.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Was she able to give you any information of the waiver? We are also facing the same challenge.
Hello - yes, she did write back with the following:
The Texas State Board of Pharmacy voted to propose amendments to §315.3 regarding electronic prescribing waivers at its February 4, 2020 Board meeting. You can see the agenda here. You can see the language that was presented here. These amendments are waiting on approval from the Texas Governor’s Office before being published in the Texas Register and moving forward in the rulemaking process. Please note that the language is subject to change before adoption. Additionally, please note that the rule states that a prescriber would need to submit a request to the agency that issued their license, registration, or certification regarding obtaining a waiver.
Thank you.
