We recently updated to CPS 12.0.11 and one of our providers is having an issue when he tries to edit with Dragon. When he is dictating into CPS, Dragon capitalizes and spaces words correctly but when he tries to edit that dictation, or a template he's inserted, it won't insert spaces or capitalize the way it's supposed to. I have checked that the settings are correct in his Dragon and I have also edited the value in the nsapps.ini file. Is there something else I can try to fix this issue?
Is this issue occurring on a thick client or thin client? I have heard of some issues in other CHUG Forum discussion threads with CPS12.0 SP11 and Dragon when using it with the thick client install. Thin client installs using Dragon, apparently seem to be fine and we have not personally had any issues with our Dragon and our CPS12.0 SP11 environment, knock on wood, and we are a completely thin client Citrix environment. If you are on a thick client, then I believe I have read that GE is aware of the issues with Dragon. One thread even described how the person was able to get GE Support and Dragon Support on the same conference call together and that they were able to work through that person's issue, so you may want to try this as well.
It is a thick client. Thank you very much, I will try to get a hold of GE and see if they can help me.
Is this affecting all your dragon users or just 1?
As far as I'm aware it's just the one.
I had problems using Dragon also. I suggest try using the dictation box (not the Dragon pad). So the sequence is:
1. "open dictation box"
2. dictate, edit, etc.
3. "transfer text"
Not ideal, but may solve the problem. I believe you can set the dictation box to open by default.
