Has anyone had any experience creating Crystal Reports in CPS in an environment without Crystal Designer?
I am working with a clinic that is new to Centricity and found that they no longer sell Crystal Designer. I'm trying to determine what process is now followed to design the report.
I'm not sure if you establish a connection to CPS from standalone Crystal Reports, and if so how to get rid of this connection when you add the report into Centricity so that it will pull via the Report module.
It appears GE is offering training but I don't want to go to Boston as I don't need the full training, I just need to know how to get started.
Thanks!
You connect from Crystal Report stand alone directly to the SQL server.
I create a Stored Proc on the SQL Server and call this Stored Proc to design the report.
Hope this help,
Dennis
It is very easy to integrate Crystal Reports created outside of Centricity. Please free to contact me and I can show you the process.
Are you talking about creating Chart Reports (which are easily created outside the Centricity environment) or PM Reports (which are not)?
I am speaking about PM Reports.
Hello, I am still struggling with this and wanted to reach back out and see if anyone other there had suggestions.
I attempted to create a standalone report with a connection embedded and then import that into Centricity. However, I get an error telling me:
The report file you are using is not current. Please run the utility MBCReportConverter.exe to update your report file.
I don't seem to have this file though, I am on CPS 12. I'm assuming I must be running an older version of Crystal Reports than it wants (never been an issue in past when exporting and editing an existing report).
Thoughts or suggestions would be welcome and appreciated.
