we have legal appointment types which have a custom document type. We have this encounter type set to Med Legal which is locked down pretty tight. We are having issues when the patient comes in for the appointment and we start this update, it crashes CPS. It is on fat and thin clients but not every time. Anyone else seeing this or have any ideas? at this point I have removed the confidentiality on a couple to see if it helps.
We started having this happen on a confidential document type when Dragon is open. We are working through the issue with our vendor now. Just another avenue to look at if you use Dragon.

has there been any update on this? I think we may be having a similar issue... except it doesn't crash CPS, its just when we are signed in to our dragon the CCC form doesn't work correctly. We are having a hell of a time getting it to work together.
We started having a similar issue after we applied the CPS12 update. All our confidential doc types began causing system crashes when attempting to open from an on Hold status. The only "fix" we have been given so far is to assign these the Normal doc type until ready to sign and at that point changing back to the confidentiality type. Very problematic for our providers who have trouble remembering this extra step. I've been periodically running inquiries to find these and manually change to the confidential type.
Depends on your use of document types, but if the document type you are assigning confidential status is always going to be confidential (like a Behavioral Health document type) then you can work with your VAR/GE to possibly update all documents with that specific confidentiality on a periodic basis since the program is crashing (a work around so to speak).
Also, if you are using Dragon, there might be some settings to resolve crashing (the setting below specifically fixed a crashing issue for us relating to confidential documents)
in Dragon under tools>options>misc tab> un-check "Voice Enabled Menus, buttons, and other controls, excluding:"
Hope this helps.

Just curious to see if you were able to resolve this issue and how. Thank you.
