Hello All,
12.3.2.3116
We are currently using Fox it viewer 7.06 as our default PDF viewer with centricity 12.3.2.
unfortunately when we click either the attachment button or the external document button oftentimes when the centricity viewer comes up we have to click refresh for PDF files actually show up in the window.
In a previous version I believe I used a command line switch to fix this. I have tried making sure that PDFs are to be displayed in the default browser and I have used the command line to set PDF to display in the fall browser with Fox it. So far no luck. If anyone has any suggestions it would really reduce the frustration of having to figure out why the screen is blank and press refresh every time review and external attachment
Thanks in advance
Jack Collins
It depends how your PDFs are referenced. Some of our content uses a URL reference to a webserver (Indxlogic document indexing) and some, like inbound HL7 MDM external attachments are linked as a file path (\\server\shared_folder\test.pdf). Which type are you having trouble with?
Our PDFs linked via file path open directly in the PDF viewer. They don't open in the browser.

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for or not:

I know this is about IE7 but I remember having to edit this file to force CPS to open pdf attachments in Adobe instead of the CPS viewer. I have had to do it both ways for different reasons in the past.
Greetings,
Did this ever get resolved? And if so, what was the fix?
We have some users who, when trying to open an external correspondence, it will open with the CPS browser, error, but also open up in FOXIT.
FOXIT has the default as the PDF reader and Internet Explorer has the normal internet defaults.
Not sure if there is a specific extension that needs to be associated with PDF or something?
