Does anyone know of a way that external attachments can be sent via fax and then show a fax status? We have this ability with non-attached items but since the paperclip that opens the external attachment opens outside of Centricity when it's faxed via Biscom there is no connection populates a fax status, or even shows that the document has been faxed. Does anyone have a good work around or a program that allows them to do this?

Summit Technologies has a product, Magic Fax, that will fax the external attachments. We use it and the staff LOVE it!

Does it add a fax status to the document that can be seen within Centricity?

It will add a fax status documents to the chart in Centricity. The status includes the number to which the fax was sent and the status of the fax.

Virtual OfficeWare, LLC, a VAR for Centricity, has partnered with Biscom to create a Multi-Doc Product. The product will allow you to fax external attachments as well as fax to multiple participants at the same time. 1+ for Summit Software's Magic Fax program. Probably the only IT product that gave us a ROI within a week. 🙂
