We are preparing to upgrade to CPS 12. In testing CPS 12, we noticed that the CVS is very lengthy. In previous screen shots from webinars, it seemed that it was shorter. I noticed that when I pull our CVS up in a chart to customize it also has Review of Systems listed as an item that will be listed for the patient. I do not recall this needing to be on there. We really do not need it on there. Is there a way to customize the list of items that will be shown? If not that is going to be wasted space. Also, we have many patients who will not be able to sign up for the portal because of lack of resources (we do not fit the exception of the measure for secure messaging). For these patients we are going to have to print the CVS. This is a very lengthy document. Is there a shorter version that we can use? Can we still use the Patient Instructions? I think I remember something that the handouts are not counted for MU, but wanted to make sure I read that correctly.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I agree there is way to much information in the new CVS. It is confusing for patients and we are concerned about patients leaving the printout in the office. From what I understand the new CVS can only be customized per patient per visit. There is no longer a global setting.
Please let me know if this can be adjusted at a global level.
Thanks,
I was also told that the CVS could only be customized per patient per visit. We would also like to be able to modify it in a global setting.
I've heard that GE is implementing a change in an upcoming service pack that will reduce the amount of information in the CVS. It will still contain the Meds, Probs, etc, but for the other stuff it will just be visit specific... I haven't seen it yet, but I'm hopeful it is what we are all looking for.
In SP3, the CVS is improved in exactly the way hinks2000 described above. It still contains all meds, problems, and allergies, but the rest of it is for the current visit only.

Thanks for the information. Do we know which measures are required for Stage II (ie, which items to we have to keep on the CVS)?
