Dear fellow users,
For those of you that have made the plunge to CPS12 how have you handled ICD9 to ICD10 mapping. We are still on CPS10 and have done multiple test upgrades but have found many cases where the mapping to ICD10 was flat out wrong. How has everyone handled this? Do you have your doctors correct them? or a team of coders? Something else?
We have worked with GE but all GE wants us to do is to upgrade to the latest service pack and try again every time an SP comes out instead of telling us if the problem is fixed or not. Don't get me wrong the person at GE is trying their best to help but it would be helpful on our end to know if it is actually fixed or not.
I'm looking for the answer to this as well. We may go the route of writing some SQL to update the DB.
We are thinking the same thing.
Hi, did you get any information from GE why this happened ? We also experienced this issue. Please let me know. Thank you, Sue
Nope sorry, we are still working on it. If you don't mind posting what codes have you found haven't mapped correctly?
I should also note my billers said for the most part the mapping is correct just a few cases.
I only have one to report on, as one wrong is enough to cause a concern 🙂
V04.81 is mapped to Z28.3, which should be Z23
