Does anyone re-run their HTML Immunization Migration tool on a regular basis after the initial go-live? Or did everyone go with the one-time 'big-bang' cutover.
This is in regards to when different Locations of Care start using the HTML form at different times along with new entries going in the old flowsheet spots.
Does it just pick up new Immunizations or does it constantly re-do the whole database each time?
I think it is a bad idea to use system this way. You will have patients that will use new immunization table and Obs table. The HTML/Obs Forms are not interchangeable.
I was told by GE that you would need to re-run the Migration tool to capture all the changes, especially if you have the above scenario with some offices using one form and not the HTML one. It is a pain.
I believe you would want to run once. Keep in mind that the migration tool COPIES the information from the OBS table to the Immunization table. It doesn't move it so you're likely to get duplicates in the Immunization table.
