At present, when we run inquiries, only the patient name is being displayed in the result. I would like to know if we have the capability to add 2 more columns - DOB and GM ID to the result of an inquiry.
Thank you in advance for any replies.
Don't know of a way to add columns for results of an inquiry but you have a report with the data fields you want, once you have run the inquiry, you can click on the report tab and "run" the report based on the results of your inquiry.
Thank you for your reply. I was looking to see if an extra identifier can be added to inquiries in general, since we don't know which inquiry users will be running. When I contacted GE regarding this, they told that it cannot be customized but told the option you have suggested. But, is it possible to create a custom report for any inquiry?
Yes, we have several reports that offices use with their particular inquiry.
Doesn't that mean we have to know the inquiry that they are running ahead of time, so we can create a separate report for each inquiry they will be usually running.
Yes that would be correct. Here, we set up the inquiry and report for them to use.
We may have to do that too. If GE had added at least one more identifier to the printed inquiry reports run on Documents, Orders and Historical Demographics it would have saved us a lot of trouble since we have multiple patients with the same name. For inquiry reports run on People and Patients, it shows age also. So it is not that bad. Wishing that GE will do something about this.
I appreciate all your help regarding this.
