I'm in a FQHC that uses FTCA for malpractice coverage. We are required to track our response times for contacting patients about 'Normal', 'Abnormal', and 'Critical' lab results. We have different response time goals for each result catagory.
We have to track several steps in the process. (When did we order the test? When did we get the result? When did the provider review the result, give it a catagory rating -Normal Abnormal,Critical-, and decide what to tell the patient? And when did the patient get the result -phone call made, letter mailed?) We have to track our performance for each catagory.
Does anyone have a form that you are using to capture these data points and a report to check your performance?
