I have a provider who is getting the above error when he is in the Orders Module and selects the New button to add a dx. When he selects Close Program it completely closes out of EMR.
We are on EMR 9.8 and I haven't had any other providers complaining about this. It is very inconsistent. He went all day yesterday with no problems and then he got the error in the afternoon. I can't determine if it is something to do with the chart or why it happens. He is on his 3rd device and it continues to be a problem that I can't resolve.
The error reads:
Main application executable has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Have you performed a MEL trace? Is he the ONLY one experiencing this issue?
Not yet since it is so unpredictable. But I may just do it and let it run until he gets the error.
I have finally been able to get a couple of MEL traces of the problem. One chart was a small chart and the other one was a large chart. I also logged into the device as myself and was able to reproduce it with my log in. Back at my computer and have not been able to reproduce it.
It must be something with the install of the EMR, but I don't know where to begin to look and I don't know how to read the MEL trace logs to determine the problem. Any help would be appreciated since GE has not contacted me since I opened the ticket 2 weeks ago.
Frustrated and exhausted!!
