Users have been reporting extreme slowness this week in EMR after the March 2016 KB Update was installed. I have users on Citrix and local installs reporting the problems. Has anyone else had any reports of this? Or any suggestions as to what could be causing the problem?
We haven't done this yet but keeping an eye on this post to see if you find out what caused it.
Seems like we have an increase in slowness on CPS 12.0.11 sp6a post march KB
Unfortunately we are suffering terrible app crashes and document sign errors since upgrading to sp 11 4 mos ago. This KB seems to have added chart opening slowness.
This weekend we apply a post 6a custom patch to help resolve app crash and app crash on sign errors.

I'm still on SP10 and am running March Full update without issues. Though it was slow before the update. Check with support first but you might try the clear KB data and rerunning the KB update to see if that clears up the problem.
Did you contact GE Support?
We were going to install the March KB this past weekend but saw your posting and decided to postpone. I would be interested to see if this was reported to GE from other sites too.
I have opened a ticket with GE and have a call scheduled on Wed. We are planning to run the Patch 6b Wednesday evening as well for all of the unsigned clinical list locks that are occurring more frequently (most recently it was on a scanned document).
The providers are reporting the slowness with opening a chart document and other users telling me that when they click on a box it takes a period of time for the actual checkmark to show up.
I'm not sure what is happening but also are having issues about the same time with CSpeak latency that I am working with support on that known issue that they sent out a notification on.
It's been a long week and a half!
Any updates from GE on the slowness issue perceived by users after the March KB Updates?
Thanks!
They had us do a reboot of the JBOSS server and took some logs to review. No updates from them since Tuesday.
I'm curious about what everyone else has decided to do. The current Medi-Span info expires on Monday, so I figure we have two undesirable choices: A) run the March KB updates this weekend and risk slowing down the system, or B) allow the Medi-Span info to expire.
We installed the March KB Update on the evening of Wednesday, 04/13/2016, because we did not want to have to risk having the Medi-Span expire. We also decided that if there were going to be issues with this one better to deal with in the middle of the week instead of first thing Monday.
Fortunately, for us, we have not had any reports of additional slowness or freezes. So it appears that our CPS is functioning the same that it was before applying the March KB Update.
We are applying the update tonight, and we will post our performance outcomes once we get some feedback from our clinical staff.
That would be great. I still haven't heard back from GE about the logs they retrieved.
Is anyone having issues running the kb on CPS11.
We applied the update last weekend, and our users haven't perceived any additional slowness through the veil of the normal slowness of the application.
We are on EMR 9.8 SP9 by the way.
