Hello,
We are on CPS 12.2.2 and are using Midmark's ECG module with their IQiC software, V6. We are having to make sure that the ECG is plugged in to a computer before they log into CPS, or it will not detect the ECG at all until a logout of Centricity takes place.
Is anyone on IQiC V10? Can you simply plug in the ECG to the usb port of a staff members computer and then launch the software? We are trying to figure out if an upgrade is even worth it, or if nothing will change for us.
Thank you,
Daniel C.
This is more of a Citrix limitation than a problem with the version of IQiC. Citrix "scans" all devices/connections that are available when ICA session starts. That list of devices doesn't get updated dynamically so logging out and back in is really the only reliable way.
I admit it has been a while since I explored other options (a couple of years or longer) so maybe someone else can provide some more updated workarounds?
We had enough problems over RDP (no Citrix) that we have a laptop on a cart where the ECG device stays connected all the time and they just wheel the cart in the room. They do "steal" their RDP session from the exam room computer to the ECG cart laptop and this appears to work fine in 12.0.12. We have tested in 12.2 but are not Live on that version yet.
Steve
We also use both RDP and IQMark v6.4. CPS is via RDP, but we have IQMark loaded locally on each exam room PC. The users plug the EKG into the PC and runs IQMark locally.
