We are taking the SP10 JBOSS split opportunity to move JBOSS from a Windows 2008 R2 server to Server 2012. The only problem is that I can't find any information on moving JBOSS to a different server.
Do I simply download the full SP10, and unzip it on one of the new servers to get Server Setup moved?
How do I reconnect eRX, SMPP, etc?
Anything else I need to take a look at, or should I scrap the idea and stick with our current JBOSS server.
1. Once SP10 is up, uninstall JBOSS on the old server. 2. Run the new Server Configurator from the new JBOSS server (you pretty much always reinstall JBOSS anyway during an SP). Remember that there are several more Windows perquisite steps for JBOSS on SP10 You may want a reboot. 3. For Kryptiq portal, go to your database server and Configuration Editor. You'll need to 'unlock' the configuration, hit TAB and then re-connect the string to the new JBOSS. Click TEST. 4. For Qvera/MU, you'll need to do the same thing under Database/Web Server (don't recall which). Restart MU services 5. Don't think eRx cares about JBOSS. I've moved JBOSS (single instances) from server-to-server in test environments without too much difficulty, aside from reboots.
How do I get Server Setup/Configurator on the new server?
Run SetStage.exe from your EMR server's CentricityStaging directory (or its CPS equivalent).
SP10 does have a number of new steps for JBOSS installation so make sure you go through each item one-by-one in the Upgrade Release notes. It's not necessarily hard, just new.
koehlerb, If your staging directory is on the jboss server you can just copy the staging directory from the current jboss server to the new one.
