I train new hires (mostly nursing staff) and providers in a clinic setting. Wondering if anyone has used the new CBT's yet? Any kind of feedback would be appreciated. I have a specific curriculum that I follow when I do the trainings and would like to know if anyone has other suggestions?Other methods/ideas for training would be great!
My Curriculum:
Example: New Hire-CMA
They initially meet with me before seeing any kind of workflow, shadowing, etc. That person would be in training for 4-5 consecutive days. One on one training.
Day 1. CBT's only (not all)
Day 2. Review and go over what CBT's touched base on and discuss what meaningful use is and what it means to our facility.
Day 3. Answer questions and have employee start placing orders, medications, RF's, routing, appends, phone notes, referrals etc.
Day 4. Mock Trail-I take the nurse goto the Clinic with me and I have the nurse show me what they need to capture for meaningful use and where the proper vitals and information needs to go.
Day 5. If any extra training is needed we would provide another day.
Good timing! Lorie Richardson and I will be presenting a training session at CHUG in May. Loaded with lots of great strategies and tips. Hope to see you there!
The new CBL platform is a huge learning curve. We have added 1 new employee and it was pretty much a nightmare because we are used to setting up the user with username and password and it was not an easy feat on this new platform. We also had to get set up to see the reports and so far I have not seen anything in the reporting that tells me the new user completed any of the CBL's. Not really impressed with the new platform. I liked the old platform.
Thank you.
