Curious as to how clinics are handling the removal or changing of obsolete Dx codes on a patient's active problem list after a knowledgebase update is installed.
Are you removing them? Who is doing this?
Are you changing them? Who is doing this?
Are providers being alerted since there isn't any indication on the problem list of an obsolete Dx code? How are they being alerted?
Are you leaving them alone? Why?
The update removes the Dx codes from the reference list, updates the report in EMR for custom list removal, and gives a .txt for a list of codes. That is all wonderful, but it does nothing for the Dx ones that are already on the patient's active problem list.
