Hi all,
We are prepare to migrate all of our obsterms to CVX. We did this in our test EMR and saw that there were a lot of duplicates in the immunization history view.
Has anyone else gone through with this migration? How was your experience? Any issues we should prepare for?
thanks!
We did more than a year ago. A couple of things, we found that the existing way to track immunizations didn't really fit for our TB tracking, so we still use our old TB form. We also have an OB form that has the Gardasil Vaccine on it and we haven't been able to get our OB/Gyn Providers to agree to allow us to change it, yet. We also have a number of users that still on occasion enter in historical vaccines into the Flowsheet instead of the Immunization Management form. So I still have to run the conversion executable periodically to catch these and convert them into the table. I also have a report on the ones that put the immunizations into the Flowsheet, so they can get reminded/retrained on the proper entry of these historical immunizations.
Thankfully, the conversion executable can be run multiple times and it only will process the ones that it has not processed before, so it does not duplicate records or unnecessarily use resources to process the previous records.
Duplicate HTML Screen Immunization entry:
End-user entered 2 of the same "Immunization Hx"; how is the duplicate deleted?
I know that Mike Duckworth ( https://www.mdemrsystems.com/about-us/staff/) worked a lot on these type conversions and issues.
