Does anyone currently utilize the new "Registries" tab in patient registration (CEMR) to control whether data is being sent to state registries or through HIE?
In NH we do not have a state immz registry, however we are required to give patients the ability to Opt-Out of any transmission of data via an HIE (even though currently the data is not being 'stored' anywhere). So we are trying to figure out how to make sure no data is sent via direct address on patients who have opted out, but at the same time automate things like CCDA generation & sending for outside referrals to meet our MU2 numbers. Specifically the TOC outgoing measure.
I was told by GE that the 'registry' tab is specific to interfaced immunization registries. Does anyone use this functionality?
How are people handling the ability for patients to potentially opt-out (or those states that must opt-in) patients for HIE?
If a patient is opt-out in the Registry tab, the administered immunization will not be in the "Immunization" queue.
