CPS12 - Has anyone successfully implemented the PM Scheduling Recall functionality into the Chart module? Forms, inquiries? We would like to use the recall functionality for Patient Reminders (preventive care), but cannot figure out how to run an inquiry for recalls from the Chart side.

Hello, hope this helps. Many offices choose to use Orders in EMR to indicate "follow up". The order is entered and is set to "In Process" until the appointment is made. At check out, the patient is prompted to schedule thier next appointment. If they do not schedule, the order stays in process or incomplete. Routinely, EMR Inquiries are ran to track those incomplete orders for follow up and the patient is contacted to make that appointment.
You can also use Recall in PM to tag those patients when they are due for an appointment type and run the PM report from the PM reports side.
Many offices choose to enter the EMR Order for follow up, and complete the order if the patient schedules. OR, if the patient can't schedule, they set up a PM recall. In both cases, the EMR order is "acknowledged" by marking it as complete.

Is there a way within the crystal report to have it update the database with the query to insert MUActivityLog data to capture the info?
I've had just a few crystal reports through time that are written to actually update the database with the query when you run the report.
The recall system works great, but is only attached to the pm side. When printing the recall report out of the pm it does not insert a copy into the patients chart, since it is not printed as an "actionable" letter it does not count for MU. There should be a way to print the same report from the EMR side and have them count. I have asked several GE staff about this issue and have never received an answer. If any one has this figured out, PLEASE post.
